Science is a subject that has many different levels and areas. They are all uniquely different, but they do happen to connect with each other for different reasons. Although science is a study focused on by students and career scientists, science affects everyone in their daily lives. There are four major branches of science that have many other sub-branches inside of them. These major branches consist of social sciences, natural sciences, applied sciences, and formal sciences. Below we will go into further detail of these branches featuring information from an article on Science Mirror.

Social Sciences

When studying social sciences, this usually leads to careers in languages, history, law, and the relationships among humans. Social sciences are actually becoming easier to complete with the recent revolutionary developments of technology. Social sciences can now be studied using various social networks.

Applied Sciences

Applied science is the study of how theories of a subject are applied to human applications. This is featured in many different uses, such as creating inexpensive fuels for energy requirements. Whereas other branches of science curate theories, this branch is significant because of its applications. Furthermore, all sciences have an applied science area.

Natural Sciences

Natural sciences are divided into two main areas: life science and physical science. Physical sciences have subjects including chemistry, psychics, earth sciences, and space sciences. Within those subjects, there are other detailed divisions and disciplines. Life sciences are broken into three main branches, including zoology, molecular biology, and botany. Natural sciences help to analyze the environment, nature, and how different elements interact with each other. They also help us to identify and solve specific day-to-day problems regarding various aspects that are bonded with nature.

Formal Sciences

Formal sciences are different from the previously mentioned sciences because not all formal science theories help to prove real-life, unlike natural sciences. Formal sciences were created from human imaginations. The four branches of formal sciences include mathematics, statistics, logic, and decisions. Logic is often used to study computer science, whereas mathematics and statistics are tools used for all sciences. Decision is a tool that helps people to study subjects such as economics and philosophy.
